CSR-What? CSRD and Omnibus: Current Status and Next Steps

Stravillia participated as a speaker through  Francisco Neves, Managing Partner, e  Graciete Silva, Head of Knowledge, in the first 2025 edition of CSR-What?, dedicated to the topic “CSRD and Omnibus: Current Status and Next Steps.”

We are currently experiencing a period of significant uncertainty and indecision regarding the Omnibus I package, particularly concerning its final approval and potential impact on the scope of companies subject to reporting obligations under the CSRD  and the ESRS. While no final decision has yet been made, many organizations remain in a state of expectation, uncertain about if  and when  they will need to prepare sustainability reports, at a time when the ESRS themselves are under revision.

The 🟣 CSR-What? initiative, created by the  BCSD Portugal - Conselho Empresarial para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, aims to support member companies in interpreting and implementing updates to the #CSRD. The session, which gathered over 70 participants, featured contributions from Stravillia  and  Pérez-Llorca   covering: (1) recent updates in the CSRD and Omnibus processes, upcoming negotiation phases, and their expected outcomes, presented by  Inês Palma Ramalho; and (2) key proposals for simplification of the ESRS and recommendations for next steps for different company types, presented by Graciete Silva and Francisco Neves, respectively.

Through this initiative, we sought to help clarify the debate and support companies during this regulatory transition.

At Stravillia, we believe in the power of shared knowledge and remain committed to being agents of empowerment, change, and improvement—helping organizations generate positive impact.
