On 12 March 2025, Helder Delgado, MSc, Eng., General Manager of Stravillia Sustainability Hub, participated, by invitation of SIC Esperança, in the presentation of the “More Sustainable Third Sector” Project, held at the premises of Inválidos do Comércio in Lisbon. The event featured several distinguished speakers, including Mercedes Balsemão, President of SIC Esperança; Nelson Cardoso, Director of Energy Services at CME Group; Bruno Rolo, Chairman of the Board of Inválidos do Comércio; and Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon. 🗣️ 🤝

The Project aims to support non-profit associations, Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSS), and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the energy transition, making the buildings of these institutions, among other aspects, more efficient and reducing electricity costs. To achieve this, it foresees the installation of photovoltaic panels and the implementation of other measures that promote energy efficiency, thereby strengthening the sustainability of the Third Sector in Portugal. 🏢 ☀️
During the session, the opening of applications for this initiative was also announced, with a deadline of 17 April 2025. In his speech, Helder Delgado highlighted that the energy transition and sustainability are not mere trends, but urgent necessities, fundamental to building a fairer, more equitable, and sustainable future, in the context of the climate crisis and energy poverty.
