Ready to act

At Stravillia Sustainability Hub, we believe that sustainability also starts with safety — the safety of people, spaces, and the community.

It was with this spirit that our team took part, on 7 April 2025, in a Basic Firefighting Training session, organised by the Carnaxide Volunteer Firefighters. 💪🚒

This training session included a lecture component, also supported by videos illustrating real-life situations, where we learned about:

✅ How fires propagate

✅ Effective prevention measures

✅ Procedures to follow in case of emergency

After this session, we had the opportunity to get hands-on:

🧯  We learned how to operate different types of fire extinguishers

🔥 We practised how to safely put out domestic fires

👩‍🚒 We gained confidence to act when necessary
